Denise Langley
My Langley family came from Balla in County Mayo and were tenants on land owned by Sir Thomas Lynch Blosse. John Langley was the only son who remained in Ireland. The rest went first to England then most to other parts of the world, including New Zealand, Australia and the USA. My direct descendant, Peter Langley, emigrated to New Zealand in December 1840. He worked for the New Zealand Company for a few years before moving to Australia, where he married Mary Ford (from County Cork), in 1848.
